Solve the arc. Take the ground.

Toower Rush

Artillery combat rebuilt from the physics up. Every shell obeys real drag equations, every terrain deforms on impact, every wind reading is measured, not guessed. This is ballistics simulation wrapped in tactical warfare.

How The Ballistics Work

Not arcade physics with damage numbers - actual trajectory computation using mass, drag coefficients, and wind vectors measured in real time

Computed Trajectories

Toower Rush calculates projectile flight in one-meter increments, one-degree angular steps. The orange arc you see on screen is not a pre-drawn curve - it is the physics engine rendering the actual path your shell will follow based on k-coefficient drag calculations.

Every round has a unique k value: k = 0.5 × air density × Cd × frontal area / mass. Small k means the shell flies flat and resists wind. Large k means it bleeds velocity fast and drifts with the breeze. You learn this relationship by firing hundreds of shots in Range mode and reading the numbers.

Wind drift is not estimated. The engine fires two virtual shots - one in current wind, one in still air - and differences the impact points. What you see in the readout is measured deviation, not a guess multiplied by wind speed.

Arsenal Capabilities

Seven rounds, each with distinct physics profiles - not cosmetic variations

HE

Standard High-Explosive

The reference projectile. 6.0 kg mass, 0.30 drag coefficient, 9-cell blast radius. Predictable parabolic arc makes it ideal for learning elevation and windage corrections on Cinder Flats stages.

11

Heavy Round

11.5 kg at Cd 0.26 - wind barely affects its trajectory. One direct hit excavates enough terrain to eliminate cover. 13-cell blast crater turns ridges into flat ground. Use when wind is unpredictable.

CL

Cluster Munition

Splits at 60% distance to apogee into five sub-shells. Wide shallow impact pattern forgives bad angle calculations. 4.5 kg mass with 0.42 drag - expect significant wind drift on long shots.

AB

Airburst Shell

Detonates above terrain, carving nothing. Prevents creating defensive craters for the opponent. 11-cell blast radius at 5.5 kg mass. Strategic choice on stages where you control high ground.

IN

Incendiary Payload

Small crater, fourteen burning cells. Fire spreads uphill and follows wind bias - place shots below enemy position. 4.8 kg with 0.36 drag, k-coefficient of 8.13e-4 for moderate wind sensitivity.

RG

Range Practice Mode

No opponent, no timer. Fire any ammunition type and study the readout: launch speed, apogee, time of flight, impact angle. Learn the relationship between elevation and distance before entering campaign duels.

Tactical Systems

Campaign progression, destructible environments, and physics simulation combine into strategic artillery warfare

Campaign Structure

  • Cinder Flats: Three stages teaching basic arc calculation on low ridges with light wind
  • The Slagworks: Three stages introducing broken terrain and cave cover requiring indirect fire
  • Recruit and Gunner rank progression based on shot efficiency
  • Performance tracked by minimum shots to victory on each stage
  • 6 of 12 stages currently accessible in campaign progression

Terrain Interaction

  • Ground deforms based on blast radius and impact angle creating dynamic cover
  • Ridges and hills affect line of sight requiring high-angle trajectory shots
  • Caves and broken ground in Slagworks stages demand precision placement
  • Incendiary rounds carve small craters but leave burning cells that spread
  • Airburst prevents crater formation denying defensive positions to opponents

Development Philosophy

Toower Rush treats artillery simulation as a physics problem, not a damage calculation. The trajectory curves displayed in ammunition detail screens are not artistic renderings - they are computed by flying the projectile through the engine in one-meter steps. Wind drift values are measured by firing twice and differencing impact points. The k-coefficient formula is shown explicitly because understanding drag matters more than memorizing shell names.
